2011: A Good Year for the Sammy

From Toronto to Brooklyn, Asheville to our hometown of Baltimore, 2011 was a busy and productive year for Red Sammy. With the release of our album A Cheaper Kind of Love Song this past summer, we played more than 30 shows in the past 6 months in support of these songs and had the opportunity to receive radio support from both local and regional stations including Baltimore’s-own WYPR (story of resonator guitar player, John Decker and collaboration with Red Sammy) and WTMD (currently playing “It Ain’t You”).

As we look forward to 2012, we wish all of our friends and family a happy end to a great year. We are dedicated to writing new songs at the moment and hope to share these with you at one of our live shows this winter.

As a way to add some “grit” to your holiday season, here is a clip from a show we had this past October at “Run For Your Lives” Zombie 5K Run. Get a load of John Decker, all fancy with his homemade scarf. Also some very interesting folks with hula hoops!

Happy Holidays!

Red Sammy
